Colorado Wildfires

While the primary focus of this blog has always been personal acts of courage by non-professionals, I run across many stories about rescues "beyond the call of duty" by uniformed first-responders.  As a person whose neighborhood was just saved by the heroic efforts of firefighters, and whose safety was protected during it all by multiple law-enforcement professionals, I need to take a moment to salute those first responders that we all depend on every day.  Thanks for doing what you do... in neighborhoods all over the globe!
